There’s no getting around the fact that Eastern Europe is one of the most interesting areas of the world, but it’s also important to point out that most Eastern European cities are not exactly known for their fashion and style. The same can be said for Bucharest, which happens to be one of the least-fashionable cities in all of Eastern Europe. Leather Sports Jackets
Spend even a half-hour walking the street of Bucharest, and you’re bound to stumble upon at least a few men in leather sports jackets. For reasons that are difficult to decipher, the leather sports jacket is one of the most commonly-found pieces in Eastern Europe, and is especially popular amongst residents of Bucharest. The piece itself is not always an issue but most men simply can’t pull it off. Faded leather sports jackets can all too commonly cause a disconnect, and don’t tend to do Bucharest men any favors. Nevertheless, the look remains omnipresent in the city, and isn’t likely to disappear anytime soon.

Acid-Washed Light Blue Jeans
The right pair of jeans can help just about any guy elevate his style to the next level, but those which tend to be excessively light in color should be avoided at all costs. Acid-washed denim was quite popular in America during the early ‘90s, but luckily has since faded away. In Bucharest, however, acid-washed light blue jeans can be found just about everywhere, and make most people who wear them look like caricatures of themselves. Avoiding acid-washed jeans is a basic tenet for today’s fashion-forward man, yet the look continues to be a huge part of how men in Bucharest dress when it comes to casual attire.

Pointed-Toe Shoes
It’s difficult to get through a day in Bucharest without running into a few men who are wearing pointed-toe shoes. These are more popular in Bucharest and other Eastern European cities than perhaps anywhere else in the world at the moment, and can look utterly ridiculous when worn with the wrong type of ensemble. It wouldn’t be a problem if they didn’t come to such a sharp point; a more rounded toe would be quite attractive, actually. That said, some of the shoes found on the feet of men in Bucharest are so pointed that they appear dangerous at first glance! Pointed-toe shoes are usually worn as part of business-dress ensembles, but they are often worn casually in Bucharest as well. If you travel to the city, try to avoid the temptation and stick with your normal footwear.
