The twisted teardrop shape of the paisley originated in Iran and India, but its name came from the town of Paisley in Scotland, once a center of textile production. Here, the traditional paisley design is handwoven from a brilliant red silk, ensuring that the quality of that tradition is not lost. White threads outline the kidney-shaped paisley, creating an effect that adds depth and makes it pop against a white collared shirt.
